Frey Vineyards – Mendocino County Organic Wine with no sulfites added,
from America's pioneering organic winery.
Also, the first maker of certified Biodynamic® Wines in the U.S.
Frey has always been family-owned and operated, and today a third generation helps with the production of fine organic wines in a tradition of sustainability started 30 years ago. The vineyards and winery are nestled on the slopes of Redwood Valley in Mendocino County, California, at the headwaters of the Russian River. All of its wines are made with no added sulfites. An innovative winemaking techniques compensate for the lack of this synthetic preservative (which can induce headaches, sniffles, and other allergic reactions in some people). The wine is therefore free to reveal its delicate and true flavors.
Today, we are pleased that many more wineries and grape growers have become certified organic and Biodynamic®, for the health of our common environment as well as our customers.
Emphasis is on producing organic wine of the highest quality while caring for planet and palate alike.
OUR ORGANIC WINES:
Frey Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
(Frey is a leader in organic winemaking and one of the few California wineries that qualifies as fully organic. No mean feat, for Californian organic regulations are among the most rigorous in the entire world. Ripe berry fruit and mocha aromas and flavours abound. Enjoy this balanced, smooth and ripe Cabernet with grilled leg of lamb.
Frey Merlot 2012
(Frey was the first producer to be certified Organic & Biodynamic in the US -- no small credit on the resumé, eh? Their 2012 Merlot is a lovely wine offering aromas of sweet dark fruit, plum and earth. Fleshy and darkly fruity in the mouth with soft tannins. An excellent mid-week wine that will shine with grilled portobello mushrooms (the 'prime rib' of veggie burgers), or with pan-roasted duck breast
AD & Crews is licensed with AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Corporation of Ontario) and an Agent of Record with the LCBO. Insured and covered with WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board).
